Andrew Priest - CEO, Ngāi Tahu Farming

Ngāi Tahu Farming manages extensive farming and forestry assets across Te Wai Pounamu. These include large scale dairy and beef farms on the Canterbury Plains, high country stations at the head of Lake Whakatipu, and forestry operations on the West Coast and Otago. Business activities include farm conversion and development, and the primary production of logs, milk and meat which are sold to local processors for export around the world. Ngāi Tahu Farming manages strongly to a quadruple bottom line delivering economic, social, natural environment and values & culture outcomes.
Andrew is Chief Executive Officer of Ngāi Tahu Farming. He is also an independent director with past appointments at farmer cooperatives based in the Canterbury region. Prior to joining Ngāi Tahu in July 2015, Andrew had his own consulting practice specialising in strategy formulation, performance improvement, risk management and organisational alignment across a range of industries.
Lisa & Donald Templeton - Denheath Desserts
The South Canterbury makers of the iconic Denheath custard squares. Hear about their journey of expanding the company's reach with the aid of crowd funding.
The family-owned Denheath Desserts started making and selling 200 to 400 custard squares a day in 1996 and now produces more than 10,000 squares and slices a day for national and international markets from its factory in Timaru.
Satish Ranchhod - Senior Economist, Westpac
Hear from Satish on the latest business economic forecasts and the influence of current world politics on our trading outlook.
His work focuses on inflation and developments in New Zealand’s labour market. Prior to joining Westpac, he was an adviser at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, focussing on analysing and forecasting the New Zealand economy, with a particular focus on inflation.
