As part of our ongoing commitment to and support of our members, the Employers’ Chamber offers assistance connecting Canterbury employers' with newcomers' skills. The ultimate outcome of this programme is to contribute to the government's Economic Growth Agenda through improved settlement and retention of newcomers.

- In retaining their skilled, highly productive migrant staff by supporting them and their families to integrate into our local Christchurch community.
Skilled Migrants
Under contract to the Department of Labour - Immigration New Zealand we offer an alternative recruitment option to assist and connect employers with skilled newcomers who are seeking job opportunities in a range of industry sectors from highly skilled to semi skilled and manual jobs.
Of increasing interest to our members are skilled offshore candidates. One recommended website is www.skilledbritishworkers.co.uk Free to register, members can view the CV’s of thousands of Brits who are keen to come to New Zealand. The company also employ licensed immigration advisers to manage candidates visa applications.
Tertiary Professionally Qualified Work and Income clients
Under contract to Work and Income we offer an alternative recruitment programme to assist a range of clients to find work relevant to their skills and experience under our Job Placement Programme.
