Minimum wage rises by 50 cents

The Government has announced today (Wednesday 8 February) that the minimum wage will increase to $13.50 an hour. The current rate is $13.00.
The training and new entrant minimum wage will also increase from $10.40 to $10.80 an hour.
The changes will come into effect on April 1.
