Hugh Lindo

Hugh Lindo is a current Employers’ Chamber board member and a Commercial Partner at Duncan Cotterill.  The Trans-Tasman legal firm has offices in Christchurch, Wellington, Nelson, Auckland and Sydney. Hugh has been with Duncan Cotterill, Christchurch since 1997 but worked previously for Duncan Cotterill in Christchurch and Auckland in the early part of his career before he headed overseas.

Hugh was on the board of the firm from 2003 and Chairman of it from 2006 to 2008. During this period the firm experienced significant growth, expanding into Australia and he has enjoyed having a role in developing and implementing the strategic growth of the firm across the whole group.

Hugh is a member of the Institute of Directors and has attended Institute of Director courses on chairing the board and local functions.  He is also a senior associate of FINSIA, an Australasian finance and banking industry group. His practice comprises medium sized enterprises reflecting very much the commercial heart of this region and membership of the Chamber.

As a firm Duncan Cotterill has strongly supported the work of the Employers’ Chamber specifically through their sponsorship of Champion Canterbury Awards and also a number of the firm’s partners have acted as judges.

Hugh is 44, married to Toni with three school age children.
