Cathedral Grammar School (December 2010)
A unique approach to education in Christchurch

One of the oldest schools in New Zealand, The Cathedral Grammar School was established in 1881 as a choir school for choristers - a role it still performs today. However, there have been a number of other changes to the school over the years - not least, the increase in the school roll from 50 to over 380 students, and the inclusion of co-educational classes. Despite its evolutionary growth, the school remains true to its traditional Anglican values, combining them with a broad, contemporary education to prepare children for the future.
