Peter Davie

Peter Davie is the Chief Executive of the Lyttelton Port Company a role he has held for the last five years.  LPC is a company that is vital to Canterbury’s future prosperity as a major gateway for goods and services.  Improving the transport options for Canterbury’s importers and exporters is key to the wider prosperity of the region.

Prior to LPC, Peter was involved in various port operations (including the first privatised port) in Australia for seven years.

Peter was born in Christchurch and has a Master of Commerce in International Marketing and Business Policy from Canterbury University.  He is married with three children.

Peter was co-opted on to the Employers’ Chamber Board in February 2004.   Peter is committed to the Employers' Chamber as one way of ensuring that Canterbury’s prosperity grows for the good of all.
