Surveys

One of the key roles of the Employers' Chamber is to build an understanding of Canterbury business and the issues faced by a board range of our members - allowing us to best represent your needs and advocate on your behalf.

To achieve this, we regularly undertake a range of surveys that not only help us with our decision-making but also provide key information to other agencies - including the Government - with a focus on business.

A sample of the surveys we currently undertake to do this are:

Business Opinion Survey
This gauges business confidence in the region.

PMI (performance of manufacturing index)
This is carried out by Business New Zealand around the country to determine how manufacturing is faring in New Zealand.

PSI (performance of service index)
A new initiative by Business New Zealand to mirror the PMI but for the service industry.

Ad Hoc Surveys
We undertake these to gather a snapshot of members' thoughts on specific topics.  These may be in-depth or spot polls on a timely issue.

As a member-based organisation, it's also vitally important for us to keep in touch with all our members, to ensure our services are meeting your needs and expectations, and to help us shape our approach for the future.

Our member-based surveys include:

Member Satisfaction Survey
Carried out regularly with those members who have recently used our services, to ensure we
are performing to expectations.

Annual Membership Survey
A comprehensive survey to assess all areas of our business, to ensure our
planning will meet member expectations in the future.

We always appreciate members' time and commitment to providing us this
vital information - hearing it directly from you allows us to make decisions
that are both timely and relevant.

We welcome your feedback at any time and you can contact
Peter Townsend, Chief Executive directly on email petert@cecc.org.nz
or DDI (03) 353 0305.
