Tracey Chambers

Tracey Chambers is the Managing Director of Chambers PR, a Christchurch based business employing 10 staff. The company specialises in strategic thinking, communications including media relations, issues management, marketing and event management. Tracey has worked in the public relations sector for a decade after spending a similar period in radio as a journalist and Chief Reporter.

Chambers PR has a client list including Meridian Energy, Vbase, Ngai Tahu Property, Lyttelton Port Company, Holcim (New Zealand) Ltd, City Care, Enable Networks, Lincoln University, Canterbury Waste Services, Mike Pero Mortgages and Hanmer Springs Thermal Reserve. Tracey is also a director of a number of companies throughout New Zealand and within Christchurch.

Her philosophy is to work in partnership with clients, employ the best and create an environment where they can perform beyond their own expectations and have fun. "It is all about making connections and forming relationships so you can build your business."

Chambers PR also has the Chambers Foundation which provides sponsorship, funding and time to various organisations and small to medium businesses. The Foundation provided around $300,000 in time and sponsorship in the last financial year.

This is Tracey’s sixth term on the Board and she is now also the alternate to represent the Employers’ Chamber on Business New Zealand. Tracey understands the challenges of establishing a company, compliance issues and managing growth.  She has a passion for lobbying for a business environment and economy that celebrates business and even more so, celebrates new and small-medium businesses.

Tracey is married to Noel Chambers and has two children, Arthur and Millie.  "Just to show we can juggle it all!"
