As the largest agency providing business support in the South Island, the Canterbury Employers' Chamber of Commerce is recognised as the regional champion of business.  We champion business for our members and the business environment through:

 

 

• Established affiliations with Business New Zealand and the New Zealand Chambers of Commerce and Industry extending our influence nationwide
• Representing business on over 20 local and national bodies
• Supporting the Christchurch City Council’s goal of being the most business-friendly centre in and have drawn up a scorecard of business-friendly key performance indicators which has been adopted by the Council
• National and local advocacy and lobbying across a range of issues
• We engage regularly in media debate
• In addition to our general advocacy and lobbying, the Employers’ Chamber is more actively engaging in a number of key initiatives to drive new levels of business success, including Christchurch central city, manufacturing.  Celebrating business success through Champion Canterbury.  Facilitating innovation in leadership and funding.
