I am a corporate and commercial Lawyer and independent professional Director, having recently retired from a leading national law firm, and now provide General Counsel services to selected clients. 

Having practised law for some 27 years, my areas of expertise include, corporate governance, business transactions, banking and finance, insolvency and restructuring, franchising, commercial law and commercial contracts.

My current positions include:

-  Chamber President; 
-  Chamber Audit and Risk Committee member; 
-  Business NZ Board member;
-  Directorships for a number of SMEs;
-  Honorary Consul for Mexico (South Island); and
-  Member Institute of Directors.

It is of particular interest and importance to me to assist, encourage and foster the business sector in Canterbury and New Zealand as part of a “healthy” community and I am very proud of and committed to The Chamber and the vital role it plays in our community.

I am married and have two daughters attending secondary school.  My other interests include road and mountain biking, golf, scuba diving, skiing, boating, and motorsport.

With my experience, skills, passion and commitment to The Chamber, I would welcome the opportunity to continue to provide support and guidance to The Chamber, its Board, Leeann and her team and The Chamber’s members.
