I am a Chartered Accountant and Partner at Nexia NZ who specialises in both business advisory and restructuring and insolvency. My clients are predominantly family owned Canterbury based businesses. While my clients cover numerous industries, I have a particular interest in the hospitality sector.
My passion lies within helping businesses to grow and prosper through working closely with the owners in a pragmatic, friendly manner. There are always opportunities as well as risks in business. With the current uncertainty in trading conditions due to COVID, I know that many businesses are feeling the strain more than ever. My practical approach along with my restructuring skill set makes me well placed to assist and support business owners.
I believe The Chamber has always played a crucial role in Canterbury businesses. In order for it to remain relevant in the future and support an even greater number of Canterbury businesses, experienced business leaders with diversity of thought are going to be required around the Board table. I believe I can add to both the experience and diversity.
Being Canterbury born and bred, I am passionate about our region, communities, and businesses. I enjoy giving back to the community that has been so good to me, I chose to do this by having Board involvement. I am currently on the Boards of STOP, Laura Ferguson Brain Injury trust and finance and risk sub-committee for the Christchurch City Mission.
