Governance Structure
Business Canterbury is guided by our Constitution and governed by our Board of Directors who support the Chief Executive in setting policy and the strategic direction of our organisation. The Board consists of nine directors who are elected by our members at our Annual General Meeting, held in October.
Important Dates
- Election process under the new Constitution: Under our new Constitution, four members were elected to the Board in 2024, with staggered two- and three-year terms to ensure continuity. Because of this, there are no positions up for election in 2025. The next elections will take place ahead of our 2026 AGM.
