Human Resources and Employment Relations Advisor/Trainer

The Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce (The Chamber) is the South Island’s largest membership business support agency – our aim is to help businesses to do business better by providing advice, advocacy, training, opportunities to network and access to latest thinking via a great range of events. The Chamber as an organisation, is totally committed to adding value to members and to our region.
We are looking for someone to join our Advisory and Consultancy Team to provide advice to members on human resources and employment relations while also growing our consultancy business. You will work within our passionate and committed Advisory and Consultancy team within a flexible and empowering environment. The position also requires both public and inhouse training, design and delivery, contributing to the Chamber’s training and events offering and identifying ways to customise our offering and delivery of services.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provision of comprehensive HR and ER advice to Chamber members
- Growing the value of our HR and ER consultancy for members and non-members
- Design and delivery of in house and public HR and Employment Relations courses
- Developing and maintaining resources to meet members’ current and future needs
- Writing articles for member communications and external publications
- Keeping up-to-date on issues that impact business including new legislation
This is a great role for someone with a good level of business knowledge and someone who has excellent human resource and employment relations experience at a senior level along with training, coaching and facilitation.
